Manage Contacts

Add, edit, and organize your email subscribers

Overview

Manage your subscriber list from the Contacts tab on the Audience page. Add contacts individually or via CSV import, organize with tags, and filter by status or tags.

Viewing Contacts

Navigate to the Audience page and select the Contacts tab to see all subscribers in a sortable table.

Table columns:

• Email address (sortable)
• Name (sortable)
• Tags (colored badges)
• Status (subscribed, unsubscribed, non-subscribed, bounced)
• Date added (sortable)

Quick actions:

• Add Contact — single contact or bulk import
• Search — find by email or name
• Filter — by status and/or tags
• Sort — by email, name, or date added

Adding Contacts

Single Contact

1. Click Add Contact > Single Contact
2. Enter email (required)
3. Add name, tags, custom fields (optional)
4. Set status (default: subscribed)
5. Save

Duplicate emails are rejected with an error.

Bulk CSV Import

1. Click Add Contact > Bulk Import
2. Upload CSV with email column (required)
3. Map columns to fields
4. Optionally assign tags to all imported contacts
5. Import

Large imports (500+) process in the background. Check Import History for status.

Editing Contacts

Click a contact row to open the detail view, or use the actions menu to edit.

Editable fields:

• Email address
• Name
• Tags (add/remove)
• Custom fields (key-value pairs)
• Subscription status

Bulk Operations

Select multiple contacts using checkboxes, then use the bulk action bar.

Bulk edit — update for all selected contacts:

• Status
• Country / Language
• Add or remove tags
• Subscribe or unsubscribe from topics
• Custom fields (merged additively)

Bulk delete — permanently remove all selected contacts.

Use “Select all matching” to apply changes to every contact that matches the current filters, not just those on the visible page.

Search & Filter

Search by email or name — results update with a short debounce.

Filter by status: subscribed, unsubscribed, non-subscribed, or bounced.

Filter by tags: select one or more tags (OR logic — contacts with any selected tag are shown).

Custom Fields

Store additional data as key-value pairs on each contact.

Common fields: company, job title, account ID, plan type, or any custom attribute.

• Add when creating or editing a contact
• Use in segments to filter by custom field values
• Reference in email templates as dynamic variables

Contact Activity

Click a contact to view their engagement history:

• Emails sent, opens, clicks
• Engagement score
• Last activity timestamps

Deleting Contacts

Delete individual contacts from the actions menu, or use bulk delete for multiple contacts.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
